Rabbit (Rabbit)

A typographic sculpture exploring the superstition of the word 'Rabbit' in Portland, Dorset.

The piece investigates the juxtaposition between good and bad luck, in Portland the word is taboo, however in parts of the UK rabbits are connected to good fortune, particularly the phrase 'Rabbit Rabbit'.

The two individual stones are deemed as offensive when seen alone within the context of the island, however signify good luck when viewed in tandem.
